My hands on experience with adults and youths, all with varying developmental, cognitive, and behavioral challenges, makes me an excellent candidate for caregiving. Through my years of experience, I have developed a passion for serving those who need comfort most. My most recent work experience was as a counselor at a treatment center for about 40 participants, including those who are on the autism spectrum, those with Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, seizure disorders, mental illnesses, etc. I was directly responsible for leading group activities, providing individual emotional support, and public outings. Other duties included medication, helping to prepare meals, scheduling, transportation, safety planning and activity planning. This experience was and always will be incredibly valuable to me.
