Hey there! I have always known that caring for children is something I am passionate about. My mother's career is in early childhood development, so I have a strong base of knowledge and a will to learn more. I believe that the most important things in caring for a child are trust, attentiveness, aiding them in learning through play and discovery, and making sure that communication is present so all physical needs can be met as well. I have years of exposure to an inclusive setting and individualizing for the needs of every student I get to know. I worked for three years teaching a pre-k class at a preschool in downtown Charlottesville, for a preschool in Blacksburg VA and at Virginia Tech's Child Development Center for Learning and Research. In addition to teaching I have experience nannying/ being a mother's helper with ages from 5mos-9 years. I have an open mind, heart, and open arms. I'd love to get to know you and your child.
