I have been working as a caregiver for elderly disabled and dementia adults for the past 6 years while a graduate student. I have over 10 years experience As a social worker. Additionally, I have a total of over 10 years in various other human services positions and have worked in direct care with individuals having mental illness, developmental disabilities, substance abuse and dual diagnosed, brain injured, and dementia/Alzheimer's. I have been a manager in homes having people with such disabilities, have been the manager of a women's shelter, am a returned Peace Corps volunteer, and have 10 years experience as a professional federal worker. I have completed one year of medical school and many courses in RN training.
