I am an experienced art teacher and camp counselor with over 5 years of teaching experience. I can help with crafts, homework, meal prep and simple kid friendly meals. If your child has a food allergy or dietary restriction I'd be happy to make meals if the ingredients are provided! I'm also very adept at swimming and I have CPR training. I love kids and they seem to love me as well. My approach to childcare focuses on more gentle parenting with things like no yelling, being very patient, and allowing the child to express their feelings in the safest way they can. I have cats and dogs, so I would be able to care for them as well. I am experienced in disorders like ADHD and autism. I will not practice ABA, because it has been proven to be detrimental to children with autism. I am able to manage medication that is taken in either pill or liquid form, and I know lots of tips and tricks for dealing with sensory issues. I love learning, so if your child is a Chatty Cathy, I'm all ears.
