Hi! I have grown up around special needs children my whole life. I give my all in helping them to feel comfortable and happy around me. My cousin, better known as my best friend, has autism and epilepsy. I have spent so much time with him just one-on-one, during therapy sessions and in crowds. I have babysat him for about 8 years, and also spend time with him about every weekend. I have assisted in classrooms as a volunteer with special needs children and have been trained through Knox County schools in child safety, and how to better help a child with special needs. I have taken many classes at UTK and community colleges about child development, family studies and psychology. I would love to help your family and help your child feel as comfortable as possible with someone new.
