I am currently an elementary special education teacher for Kindergarten through 6th grade students with a range of needs and abilities, including Developmental Delays, Cognitive and Emotional Impairments, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and more. For the past 4 years, I have taught in both resource rooms and self-contained classrooms and in addition to delivering differentiated instruction, I have managed behaviors and met students' social, communication, and physical needs. I also worked as a camp counselor at a summer camp for children and young adults with disabilities for 2 summers. In addition to feeding, bathing, lifting, and other physical responsibilities, I helped plan fun and engaging activities for campers and enjoyed spending time with them. I am passionate about making activities accessible to all people!
