I am experienced with special needs and IEP needs. Working in 4 different school districts as a teacher assistant, I was mostly workin with special needs, developmental delays with or without IEP status. Sometimes it was behavior modification, other times helping children w walkers or wheelchairs to participate in gym class. One time I worked with a legally blind child with a visually impaired IEP. He needed help maneuvering the building, stairs, and playground. Also adaptive equipment so he could view the same work the others were doing. Finally, I have a daughter who was special needs. IEP, developmental delays, learning challenges, etc. She is now high functioning, married, independent, and works in a daycare. She and her husband purchased a town home a few years ago. I am extremely proud of her.
