I have never worked as a "special needs provider", but have been around lots of special needs children in church, friends of the family, and even in my own family. Special needs children have taught me probably more than I have taught them. They are so special to me, and knew at a young age that working with people that may be so called "different" was something I always wanted to do. To me, they are just as beautiful and special, if not more. I am not certified in this area, but would be more than willing to learn when/if needed. I do however have my own son who is 4 and very active. He's a very good boy and loves to help people just as much as I do. I would have to bring him with me in any position I may take.
