I am a Science educator and am building a tutoring and environmental education business that will keep me busy during the afternoons. I am looking for work during the day -- last year I worked with a boy on the autism spectrum, age 10 in school using Applied Behavioral Therapy. I have also been a teacher when my students have a behavioral therapist or other support staff with them. I have a lot of compassion for people who need additional support and it is gratifying to see a child make progress. I also get a lot of satisfaction seeing a child when s/he is joyful, whether it is from something that they enjoy doing or the joy they get when they have made academic or behavioral progress. I am a life-long learner and am passionate about learning more and providing the best support I am capable of.

Corri understands children who learn differently very well. My son has Asperger's, Anxiety and ADHD so learning his Bar Mitzvah Torah portion was a bit of a challenge. He really blew us all away and I feel that hiring Corri to help him was the #1 reason along with everyone's flexibility. Corri shared a lot of our values, she was calm and patient, and was super tolerant of al of our animals climbing all over her! She always took our son's needs and wants into consideration and would ask him directly how he felt about things. Our son was able to do so much more than we had expected! Corri made the process seamless and communicated well with our synagogue. Corri has a lot of knowledge about challenges that come with ADHD and was also very patient with us when we were stressed as well. Even post-Bar Mitzvah, Corri has stayed in touch and truly cares about how our son is doing 2 years later. I highly recommend Corri for this type of learner, or a traditional learner.
