My cousin and best friend growing up both have SMA (Spinal muscular atrophy. I became very good at helping them, anticipating their needs, and helping them with whatever they needed or wanted. I learned a lot with this. Transportation to and from their chairs, working some of their machines, and a lot more. I have also been a babysitter/ nanny for over 8 years and have dealt with various handicaps. I took a class a few years ago and became CPR certified and I am currently working on my EMT and Para-medicine degree at Athens Technical College.
