I was working at the Northwest Arctic School Borough District as an Intensive Aide and Interpreter. My education and previous work experience has prepared me to successfully perform the care taking duties asked of me if hired. I majored in Nutritional Science and minored in American Sign Language and Mandarin Chinese. My course work has given me the knowledge to successfully work with different disabilities. I also have the knowledge and experience of working with students in providing total communication and care. In addition to my education I have work experience within school districts where I have aided and taught children with disabilities of all kinds. I worked individually with students, incorporated behavior plans, and facilitate communication by using either American Sign Language or PECS. I had the opportunity to work alongside physical therapists/ mothers that taught me how to work with handicap children motor skills, range of motion exercises, and basic childcare.
