Last updated in 2021: I have taught middle school and high school for 10 years and am a stay-at-home mom to my 5 1/2-year-old son. Our son was diagnosed with moderate-severe autism at the age of 22 months. Instead of traditional therapies we decided to create custom approaches to our son's ever changing needs. Our son is now 5 1/2 and recently tested above age level in all developmental categories. The only indication of autism that was observed were his sensory needs. Other than being a former teacher, I do NOT have any professional therapy training. I was just a mom who fought for her son to have a voice and to be able to advocate for himself. I offer tools and suggestions to be used in your home and will spend one-on-one time with you and your child. My availability is most evenings and weekends. I provide childcare during the day so I would not have availability most days except for the occasional Monday.
