I have an older brother, 27 years old, with high-functioning Autism. He is my life, I am in the process of becoming his legal guardian as my parents grow older. We are best friends. My entire life, (even though I am two years younger than him) I have dedicated my time to bring him "up to speed." Teaching him everything from personal hygiene (Which he still needs reminders every once in a while) to balancing check books, to driving a car, to social interactions with others. You name it! My parents are great advocates for him, but being his sister, we have a deeper connection than most siblings do. He needs me and I need him, he has taught me how to be the best person that I can be.
