I am a high school student and a member of the Best Buddies Chapter at my school. Through Best Buddies I have formed relationships with many special needs children in my school and have learned about their specific needs. As well, my younger brother is Autistic, giving me 12 years worth of experience learning about ASD. Through my brother and the various ABAs, special needs teachers, speech therapists, among others, I've learned many techniques when dealing with children on the spectrum. I hope to one day become an occupational therapist and work with special needs children in the school environment.
