I recently moved to New York City from Tennessee to pursue a dream of living in the city. I started a job in recruitment sales when I first moved here in September but had a change of heart shortly after when I found out that my niece was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. I had volunteered with individuals with Specials Needs for six years prior to moving here. When I was in high school I started a program in our school that allowed students to work with the students with special needs and gain class credit for it. I also volunteered at the Gwinnett Special Olympics and the Gwinnett Special Needs Pageant. As I moved away from Atlanta to go to college in Tennessee, I wanted to continue to work with individuals with special needs. I joined Young Life as a Capernaum leader where I assisted special needs adults at their places of employment. I am seeking an opportunity that fills my passion for working with individuals with special needs and helps me make a difference
