Hello! I began working with children with special needs in 2009. I was an inclusion aid in a summer camp with children with down syndrome. I had 2 children all summer that I integrated into the summer camp program. After summer, I was given a full time job in a toddler classroom with kids with special needs. The disabilities ranged from cognitive, developmental, and physical. I have experience with children with Asperger's, autism, and ADD/ADHD. I also have family members with down syndrome and spina bifida so I am used to those also. Besides working with children with special needs, I also am a career nanny. I believe this profession shows how compassionate, understanding, and patient I am. I also have a son who is 14 months who would also be coming to work with me. I would love to be able to work with kids with special needs and do all the fun things a kid should do! I limit screen time and electronics, and love to be outside discovering new parks and play places!
