To be honest, I don't have a ton of experience caring for special needs people. I work at the YMCA and have taught some special needs children swimming lessons and have interacted with many special needs adults too. During my senior year of high school, I volunteered in the skills center that my school offered and I absolutely fell in love with the kids I worked with. Though I've had little experience with this type of care, it's something that I'm really interested in because of my future. I want to major in social work and also adopt a special needs child later in life. I would love the opportunity to start caring for people with special needs now.
