While working as a classroom assistant in the school system I was recommended to the grandmother guardian of a special needs child for after school and summer care. I did this for 3 years until the grandmother passed away and the child returned to the care of her biological mother. I also took care of my aunt in my home for 13 years until she passed away a few months ago. My aunt was mentally handicapped and had complex medical issues.
