I have 10+ years experience working with adults and children with special needs Duties included training special needs children and adults to work in a learning environment, assisting/teaching fine motor skills, assisting/teaching gross motor skills, preparing them for situations they may face if/when they are able to move on from the center/home and provide for themselves, teaching and assisting in ADL's, assisting and training individuals in filling out job applications and the appropriate and nonappropriate ways to interact and conduct themselves during a job interview, transporting wheelchair bound and non wheel chair bound clients, training on loading and unloading wheelchairs on and of wheel chair ramps, into the van and strapping the chair down safely and securely, special training in taking care of an individual having a seizure, CPR, First Aid, bathing/assisting in bathing and grooming, taking care of clients with sugar diabetes, including administering insulin shots.
