Special needs children are very unique in their own way. I have younger sister that has Downs Syndrome. She means the absolute world to me. I was her caregiver until I moved out of state about a year ago. She is now 17 years of age. We still connect on a regular basis via Facetime, phone calls, and letters in the mail. Her dream is to someday move here with me :) I enjoy caring for children with Special needs. They are a gift to us. I will always have a special place in my heart for children or teens with special needs.
