First to start, my younger brother has down syndrome, so I have spent a lot of time taking care of him and his friends during play dates and such. I had previously nannied for a family with a 3-year-old son with Down syndrome and medical issues (allergies, tube, etc). I was then an aide in a preschool for another 3-year-old child with special needs and am now currently nannying for a family with one child with Down syndrome (4 years old) and one typical child (3-year-old); Other than that, I am a children's pastor that runs a program for inner city children and some I work with have a variety of special needs including ADHD, autism, developmental delays, and hearing impaired.
