I have always had a heart for those with developmental, delays or disabilities. I grew up with my sibling having speech issues, bad ADHD, and tantrums that helped lead me to my love of helping individuals with delays. I have experience working at summer camps that have helped individuals with autism or special needs & this one to one ratio camp really showed me how deep my connection with these individuals are! In elementary school, I signed up for best buddies, which required me to be paired with an individual on the spectrum and I would hang out with them during lunch and recess and I loved it! With my mom having a background in occupational therapy, I grew up with having knowledge about developmental delays whether that be physical or mental. I am currently enrolled in a speech pathology program to become an SLP! Until I finish school for that, I would love to put my passion to work:)
