I am absolutely passionate about children and caring for those with special needs. I currently work in two jobs in the world of special needs. I work at the before and after school program (BASE) at a local elementary school where I work several days a month as a special needs assistant to a child there. I also am a substitute paraprofessional and spend most of my time subbing in a local high school's SSN room. I am working towards my degree in special education and hope to someday teach in a high school SSN room. Currently I have training needed to work with specific needs child, including wheelchair and g-tube feeding. I am very open to and excited about learning more about how to care for those with other disabilities. I am looking for a part time summer job with flexible hours as I will be spending around 3 days with the BASE program a week.
