I have worked with special needs children from the ages 3-18 years old. My experiences include: I watched a 17-year-old boy who has the mind of a 2-year-old. I did everything for him. I have also worked with a boy with Down Syndrome, I have also volunteered in a special education school since 2011 where I worked with special needs children. I did anything the head teacher asked me. I helped the children ride a bike or use a walker. I fed the children hand over hand. I created art projects that would stimulate the children in different ways. I also helped the children with their goals. I currently work for Bloomfield Hills School district in their 2. 5-5-year-old classroom with children who are on the spectrum (6 years). On the side I watched a 19-year-old boy who is SXI! (3 years) I have been been through all the training required by the Arc of Oakland County! I am currently taking classes online to earn my masters in learning disabilities!
