Hello my name is Alexis! In May 2023 I graduated from UMass Amherst with my BS in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences. Post grad I got my Speech Language Pathologist Assistant certification and worked in the Lawrence MA Special Ed Dept. I was the speech therapist for Oliver Elementary and Middle school addressing the communication concerns of their students. My favorite part about that experience was seeing how much people grow when they have the right supports. We're all individuals who require different supports in our day-day lives to help us. After this experience I learned a lot about what I really want for myself. I was proud that I was able to create change in my students lives, but I was missing the feeling I got from being a tutor and nanny. Some thrive in the environment of a school and enjoy pouring a little bit of themselves everywhere, but I love being able to give 100% of my attention and care 100% of the time. That is why I decided to return to where I'm happiest!
