Hello! My name is Aaron. My priorities are patience, compassion, and supporting a person's quality of life. From 2011 to 2015 I had a wonderful experience working as a Support Professional with the Arc, a nationwide organization. I assisted a range of different people; adolescents, teenagers, and adults with Autism, Down Syndrome, and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. I helped people with their day to day activities, and also supported them at their places of work and volunteering. I also lived with an adult with autism for 4 years, I gave them care and communicated and collaborated with their family and support network about their needs. When I was a senior in high school I volunteered at a retirement home, giving companionship for the elderly. When I was young my mother would take me to work with her, where she provided care for a person with Cerebral Palsy, and I've always found this type of work rewarding and important.
