About who needs care: Diabetes, heart failure, history of pneumonia and urinary tract infections. My mother is very small and very frail and my father does not want to put her in a nursing home. I don't believe she has much time left. Current caregiver arrives in the morning and either makes or brings breakfast, cleans my mother up, if she has a doctors appointment she gets her ready and takes her to and from, also runs errands as in picks up medication, does some grocery shopping etc. basically assists my mother in whatever she needs on a daily basis which isn't much because she isn't mobile. Current caregiver arrives around 9 a.m. and stays until around 7 p.m. every day. She does come and go if she has to run errands or has things to do but she basically supports my mother in the hours she's awake. My father is capable of watching my mother but he is also in a wheelchair so he cant do anything physical for her. About the care needs: Someone preferably older so my parents would be comfortable around them since they are older, someone kind, soft, and nurturing because my parents are simple well mannered people. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
