About who needs care: Hi, I am looking for companion-care for my mom, who struggles with Alzheimers. She is 84. My dad is her full-time caregiver, and they are returning to Green Lake, WI after wintering in Florida. The person they have in FL comes several times a week, so that dad can get out and play golf, go for walks, run errands, etc. Mom can't be alone. We would like someone to help her with basic chores -- vacuuming, laundry, loading the dishwasher, making lunch... Also, do puzzles, memory book activities, play games, etc. She is incontinent and needs reminders/assistance with that. She needs supervision getting dressed in the morning. She is physically able to do everything, including stairs. Her mobility is great. They return on May 18, and we would like to start services that following week if possible. Dad golfs twice a week, tuesday and thursday mornings. On those days we would like someone from approximately 8am-2 p.m. Other days can be flexible. A woman older than college-age has worked best for her. I hope you can help, thank you! About the care needs: This person will need a lot of patience, and a friendly personality. Experience with dementia is a plus. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
