My Father, R had a stroke in November and was left with left side weakness, vision impairment and onset dementia. He requires a Hoyer lift which we have as well as wheelchair assistance, toileting, hygiene, dressing, and most of all companionship. He will be working with home health for physical, occupational and speech therapy. He loves to talk story, about his life, his job as a heavy machinery mechanic, and vacationing. He doesn't have any hobbies outside of working that we are aware of. We have four little dogs (Shih Tzus) all friendly. Either myself or my husband will be home most if not all of time as I work from home and my husband is a business owner. Our requested schedule would be a caregiver 8-5 M-F to ensure my father has care while we are working, weekends are flexible for us to run errands.
