Seeking hands-on care for my parents in their 80s. Need a caring and compassionate individual interested in senior care. Responsibilities include assisting with home exercises, taking to appts/visits with friends, running errands, and socializing. Also, help prepare diabetic-compatible meals and assistance with personal care and toileting for one. Requires a clear driving record. Experience with managing medication. Preference for a caregiver who is a non-smoker and CPR/first-aid trained, Parkinson's/dementia experience. Light housekeeping, keeping the bathroom and commode clean. A must is the ability to communicate patiently with a couple whose English is not their native language. Successful candidate needs to demonstrate self-initiation and be proactive on the job.
