About who needs care: I am a transgender nonbinary person, and a single parent who is disabled. I have Adhd, and autism as well as two autoimmune diseases and an autonomic disorder. I love any and all crafts and arts. I enjoy music and movies and have two birds and two cats and a few fish. I also have two children, my daughter aged 9 and son aged 6. I need help with maintaining housework as my autonomic and autoimmune diseases make sustained physical activity very difficult and frustrating. This would mean help with dishes, light cleaning and taking out trash, and general organization. As well as meal prepping for dinners. I want to and will help with these things as well, I just need another set of hands. About the care needs: Someone who would be a good fit needs to be open and considerate of transgender people and their journeys, as well as be mindful of proper pronouns and names, my legal name is Monica but I go by Jay. So they would need to be mindful to use the name Jay and the pronouns he/him and they/them. My children refer to me as Dad as well. They also should be aware of POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) which is the autonomic disorder I suffer from as well as the connective tissues autoimmune Elhers Danlos Syndrome which is one of my autoimmune diseases. Ideally the right person would be someone who enjoys arts and crafts, video games and things of a nerdy nature. For example my children and I are preparing our first family campaign of DnD. They should also be patient as my disabilities tend to make me forgetful and have issues with short term memory, executive functioning and going into adhd paralysis when overwhelmed. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
