Hi! My mom and her husband are elderly but independent-living and socially active. We're looking for a licensed caregiver for ongoing standby assistance, companion care and some hands-on ADL assistance for my mom only (dressing, showering/grooming). Their needs also include cooking and light housekeeping (laundry, trash, general tidying, surface cleaning, sweeping, etc). Neither one has dementia. The home is deep-cleaned twice monthly by a professional service, but they need help with the daily tasks, including cooking. The LTC insurance requires legal documentation and proof of licensure credentials by caregivers who provide ADL assistance. The schedule is somewhat flexible and additional hours/days may be needed soon. The house is smoke-free and pet-free, but neighbors do stop by with their dogs occasionally.
