We are looking for one or more recurring caregiver(s) for my mother who has Alzheimer's disease. I work from home and will be around most of the time, but we are looking for someone to keep my mom company since she cannot be alone. We are looking for full-day care and occasional overnights, as needed. My mom is very sweet, soft-spoken, and easy to get along with. Some days, she is very active and constantly wandering around the house. We would like someone to engage with her, such as doing sticker books, tactile activities, and/or simple house chores. She has days where she doesn't want to do anything and spends much of the day napping. We are looking for someone who is very patient and can find a routine that works for her. She can be stubborn about not wanting to do things sometimes, but she is not verbally or physically aggressive. Some of her interests include butterflies, going on short walks, looking at picture albums, listening to jazz music, and talking about old memories. My grandmas needs include: - Assistance brushing teeth, bathing, help with toileting, and reminders for general hygiene, such as washing hands, brushing hair, and putting on deodorant - Light meal prep and companionship while she eats - Help picking out clean clothes - Occasional help giving medication About the care needs: We are looking for someone with an upbeat personality who is very kind and firm when needed. Must be able to enforce routine, bathe her, assist with toileting/hygiene, take her for daily walks, and prepare simple meals, Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
