About who needs care: He is a stroke patient (just a month out )with mild aphasia, difficulty dressing and cleaning himself after the restroom. he lost some vision and depth perception with this stroke as well. He had surgery on the left arm that left it useless and the right was weakened by the stroke. He is unable to prepare meals for himself. He walks ok, showers himself with a little assistance. He doesn't have any desire to participate in hobbies right now, still a little defeated at being 65 and in this position. He used to be an avid bible studier, carpenter and fisherman. Ideal day would be arrive by 7 am, offer coffee and breakfast by 10 am, shower, some memory activities or engage him in some way like playing cards, lunch around 1 p.m. About the care needs: Someone kind and patient. Experience with stroke patient in the past. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
