I am looking for a caregiver for my Grandma Nancy. She is 93 years old and we just need someone to pop by for a couple hours a day during the week to make sure she is fed and taken care of while we are at work. She does have dementia but she is friendly and likes to talk. She does need assistance getting up and using the restroom. We do have a dog and a cat both are friendly and around people a lot so we need someone comfortable around pets. Nancy prefers to stay in bed most of the day but when she wants to get up she just needs assistance to get in her wheelchair, she will need help getting to the bathroom, lunch prep we have a basket of foods she likes so just heat it up and serve it to her, and sponge baths a few times a week. Nancy likes to talk about when she was younger but she is hard of hearing so you have to speak pretty loud. Someone comfortable working with patients with dementia. Pets in the house: Dog- Bella she is a lab mix she is 6 years old. Very energetic and people friendly once she has greeted you she calms down but she will be very excited when you first arrive. Cat- Grace is a 2-year-old calico she is people shy and will probably hide the whole time you may not see her.
