About who needs care: Occasionally require fill-in helpers for my elderly parents. Their helpers are sometimes not able to come as scheduled due to their own illness or the illness of their own family members. I'm interested in having some people who might want to fill in on an as-needed basis when needed. My parents have some health issues, but do pretty well most of the time. We have a stair lift for them to come upstairs and they have a walk-out patio as well. They need help with laundry and bed linens, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning the bathroom, helping to get their lunch and helping with two little dogs. They're pleasant and enjoy company. About the care needs: My parents are down to earth, real people. No pretense and not snobbish at all. They tell jokes and laugh and talk. They've been working a little outside with gardening since the weather's been nicer. Mom knits and reads. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
