About who needs care: Both my Dad & Mom are in their 80s & are Matilda mobile & not need walker or other equipment. They do have a shower chair in case they need it during bathing, but currently are capable of completing this task. My Dad is 87 & has had a few mini strokes which has caused some challenges with memory & has possible onset on Alzheimer's which is currently being determined. He will need someone to ensure he is taking his medication timely twice a day. Having someone to notify me if they are noticing additional care is needed for daily tasks. My Mother has stage 4 renal disease & requires an out-patient procedure once a month. Her main help needed at home will be household tasks, changing bedding as that is difficult task for them. Having assistance with preparing either lunch or dinner would be beneficial to both. May need transportation to appointments or errands when my Sister is unable to do so. On rare occasion, may need someone to stay with my Dad, as my Mom has been hospitalized a few times already this year., & my Sister travels quite a bit. About the care needs: Someone who is not loud, and is patient, & is dependable & trustworthy. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
