Our mother is 93 years old. She lives at my sisters house. My siblings and I ( 8 of us) and her caregivers at this time. As we all work full-time we are looking for a part time caregiver to assist us. At this time we're seeking someone who can work Saturdays from 5-9 p.m. and one day during the week from 11-5 p.m. We are anticipating needing more hours filled in case of unpreventable sickness, vacations, etc... Our mom is very sharp cognitively. She has limitations with her mobility due to congestive heart failure and neuropathy. She also has bouts of irritable bowel syndrome. She is currently suffering with neuropathy pain so needs someone to apply topical creams to her neck and arms. She uses a walker at this time. She mostly needs help , giving her food or light snacks and assistance at times with the bathroom. Other than that she is quite independent. She loves to talk.. probably mom's favorite thing to do. Even when exhausted she resists sleep in favor of having a conversation. Mom has a great positive disposition despite her pain at this time.
