We are seeking new care team member for our mom who lives in a lovely wheelchair-accessible condo with her senior small dog. Mom is not grumpy to caregivers - she is kind, introverted, and intelligent! Mom primarily uses a wheelchair to be moved around her home with stand-by supervision during transfers. She needs help with meal prep, toileting, and occasional outings in her wheelchair van. Mom was diagnosed with brain cancer 12 years ago and has already survived her prognosis by over a decade. We think her positive attitude and kind spirit have played a big part in this feat! While she is now in remission, she has some physical and mental effects leftover from the treatment she underwent, namely difficulty with her speech and limited mobility, particularly on the right side of her body.
