About who needs care: My father is 77 and has Alzheimer's/dementia. Short- and long-term memory is severely impaired, but personality generally unaffected. Has severe confusion occasionally, for which he takes meds. No assistance needed with dressing, hygiene, or other daily tasks. My mother is 75. She has early dementia and just has difficulty with short-term memory. Needs help with med management and general organization. Both need transportation to doctor's appointments. Ideal day would be spent outside. Cutting grass, barn chores, taking care of animals. About the care needs: Patient and highly organized. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
