PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a shiftwork position. The person would MOVE IN and LIVE WITH my 61-year-old sister who has developmental disabilities and needs 24-hour care. IMMEDIATE OPENING. Looking for a patient, gentle Housemate to provide Direct Supported Living services. The DSP would be paid a daily rate to provide companionship, social interaction, meds management, ensure safety, and work on pre-determined goals for home-life and community activities. Prefer someone who knows and uses Love and Logic techniques. Will train. Personal free time is provided Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 3:00, when my sister receives day support and supported employment services with another DSP. Move in June 1 to share a two bedroom, one bath house. Rent/utilities/internet free to the right person for my sister.
