About who needs care: My grandfather Lloyd lives alone and is able to do daily tasks on his own. However, he needs some reminders and encouragement to wash dishes, throw away/recycle items, vacuum, and take his medicine. My mother or I do his medicine each week in a weekly medicine container but he does not consistently take them. Lloyd is a talker and charmer but also very well at stretching the truth. He has early stages of dementia and diabetes. About the care needs: Someone that is talkative and personable because he likes to talk but also someone that will push him to complete tasks and encourage him to do some exercise. Someone knowledgeable about diabetes would be helpful because he does check his own sugar and gives himself insulin. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
