About who needs care: My mother is living with Alzheimer's disease, and both of her children live remotely. She needs help with time management, keeping a calendar, and making appointments. We're also looking for someone to be a social companion and keep her socially active in the community. Because of what is happening cognitively, she's unable to initiate these types of activities on her own. About the care needs: Someone with dementia care training would be ideal, or experience caring for a friend or family member living with dementia. Someone who is a creative thinker, and has a good sense of humor. Art backgrounds are always a plus! Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
