Job Title: 1:1 Personal Care Aide for Elderly Mother in Daughter's home. Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Care Aide to provide one-to-one care for my sweet elderly mother in our home setting near the Queen's neighborhood in Jackson. The ideal candidate will have experience in elderly care, or be a student or team member who has worked in a medical field or is seeking a degree in a medical field, and has a respectful and gentle approach, and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for Mom. The ideal candidate would also love small dogs, as Mom has two gentle Yorkshire terriers that love belly rubs. Responsibilities: Provide companionship and engage in conversation to promote mental well. Bathe, dress, and groom, our mother. Assist in preparing nutritious meals and feeding; Administer medication as prescribed and monitor vitals; Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment. Monitor and report changes in health, behavior, and needs to family members. Operate a hoyer lift; Keep accurate notes and written documentation. Qualifications: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and supporting. Patience, empathy, and a respectful demeanor. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must pass a background check and drug test Hours: Every Wed & Fri 3-10 p.m. Every other weekend: Saturday & Sunday 9-4 pm; if full-time is desired - additional hours can be provided for housekeeping duties Salary: Competitive; based on experience; benefits based on full-time/part time status.
