I need a part time care provider/companion for my 85-year-old father. The schedule is variable and can be flexible. I need someone who can be available in the evenings and on weekends, so that I can work (sometimes at home and sometimes outside the home). Please be willing to provide light housekeeping, assistance with bathing, and meal presentation (cooking is optional). Preference is for a caregiver who is a non-smoker and comfortable with a sedentary 14-year-old black lab. My father spends a lot of time listening to books on tape, watching television and sleeping. He doesn't see very well, so needs help moving around the house with his wheelchair and walker. He is kind of quiet but likes people. He will carry on a conversation if prompted but is just as happy to keep to himself. He is very easy going and has a good sense of humor.
