About who needs care: Elderly female with advanced dementia needs in-home care every other Tuesday and Thursday afternoon (one week on Tuesday, the next week on Thursday). You will need to heat up food and encourage her to eat, or help feed her. Also will need to assist her in the bathroom and provide companionship and keep her safe. She is ambulatory (no walker). She naps often. She is talkative at times but often doesn't make any sense. She can be pleasant but sometimes grumpy. Her other caregivers are very devoted to her, but we need one more kind and caring person to help part-time. If you would like 6 hours per week (with potential for more later), please apply! About the care needs: The ideal caregiver for "Mom" would have experience with dementia patients, be it a family member or work in a nursing home. You need patience and compassion and understanding toward the client, who was formerly a well-loved elementary school employee and a productive and involved member of her community until dementia robbed her of her capabilities.
