About who needs care: 92 Years old. Been refusing in-home care for over a year, but his wife now has stage 4 cancer, & she can no longer care for him or their home. Very private. Unsteady on his feet. Needs meals, cleaning, grocery shopping. Stubborn. Need someone to come in 3 to 4 days per week, prepare 2 meals per day, plus some extra meals for days there are no caregivers. He is 100% cognizant, hears & sees well. History of family longevity, his Mom lived to be 106. About the care needs: Would like a woman who is cheery, but respectful. Who understands about his need for privacy. He does not want to lose his autonomy, however he has always been taken care of by his wife, so he doesn't do much for himself. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
