My mother is 78 and has kidney failure, diabetes, and other ailments. She's returning soon from a long hospital stay. Her mobility is very limited. My Dad handles her medicine & basic household tasks. But he's 80 and he doesn't have the physical strength to do it all. Our care concerns are: Helping my mom get in & out of bed and dressed and helping get her ready for dialysis (she goes to DaVita 3x a week). She has difficulty with incontinence and needs help with diaper changes. My dad cooks, does dishes etc. But it would be great to have help with tasks like laundry, changing bed linens and taking out trash (which needs to happen frequently because of the adult diapers). My parents are friendly, and love to talk music, art, books & movies and watch MSNBC. Being vaccinated/boosted is a must - they're very susceptible to illness.
