About who needs care: My parents live in Falmouth, MA. My dad is 90 and has dementia. My mom is 81 and does not drive. She has a license, but has not driven in many years. My siblings and I recently took their car away because my dads doctor told us he should not be driving. My mom has isolated herself to take care of my dad. She is very lonely and just watches tv all day. Her mental health and physical health have suffered. We are looking for someone to help drive them to do errands and provide some companionship for my mom. Also, just to have someone check in on them a few times a week. We all live over an hour away. About the care needs: We need someone patient and kind. Someone who has experience with dementia for my dad Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
