About who needs care: Seeking out care assistance for my dad following a lengthy hospital/rehab stay after a cardiac arrest and anoxic brain injury. He has made huge improvements but still needs help with some ADLs (dressing, bathing, meal prep/eating) due to the ataxia symptoms (his hands shaking when doing fine motor skills). Looking for help in the evening hours to assist with him eating dinner, taking night time meds, basic house keeping like starting laundry, and help getting him changed/ready for bed. He occasionally needs some help with transfers but has been able to mostly get from bed to wheelchair and back by himself at the rehab About the care needs: My dad has a feeding tube but has been able to eat all meals with a slightly modified diet and take pills with apple sauce by mouth. He was a former train engineer for 40+ years and enjoys sitting on his back deck when its nice outside and liked to garden. He is also very into watching Fox News Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
